The Body Glove trail across Europe and Morocco

This winter Kitesurfschool Best is cruising around Southern Europe and the coastline of Morocco to survive the cold winter in Holland and to have a nice surf of course! With their pimped out Body Glove camper they travelled through France and Spain, to eventually leave the European continent and end up in some warmer places like the north of Africa.
O
n their way to the south of Morocco, Dakhla, they are leaving Body Glove marks, aka the Body Glove stickers, everywhere they can. Actually they leave a true Body Glove trail! Nice work Kitesurfschool Best!
Next to the (kite)surf sessions, they arranged some local tv-channels to promote Body Glove on the Moroccan tv! Also Kitesurfschool Best is planning to visit some local schools to get in contact with the kids (who are not so fortunate) and convince them to go surfing in their spare time. Body Glove of course supports this mission and wish them all the luck. Keep up the good work!

Want to follow the Body Glove trail, please keep track of this blog, or otherwise go to tripsahara.blogspot.com.

Body Glove's Nate Yeomans wins the Cold Water Classic!!

Redondo Beach, CA – November 9, 2009 – Congratulations to Body Glove team rider Nate Yeomans on winning the O’Neill Cold Water Classic! Yeomans killed it in the 6-star Prime WQS event at Steamers Lane in Santa Cruz on Sunday in solid overhead northwest swell.
“I can’t believe it,” Yeomans said. “This is the biggest result of my career and I’m speechless. I’ve been winning 2-Stars for too long and it was time for a big 6-Star win. To have my name up there with all of the great surfers who have won this event over the years is amazing.”
The San Clemente native claimed the top spot in the final over Australia’s Heath Joske and worked his way through a stacked field of local and international surfers. Yeomans dominated the final heat posting a solid 15.33 heat total. The victory brings his points total to 12,925 and shotguns Yeomans into the #8 spot on the WQS ratings, giving him a great opportunity to qualify for the 2010 ASP World Championship Tour.
"Body Glove wetsuits is super stoked on Yeomans performance and is excited that he has is nearing his goal to qualify for the 2010 ASP World Championship tour," said Scott Daley, Body Glove’s VP of Marketing.
The next stop is Hawaii, where Yeomans looks to continue dominating and maintaining his position in the top 15 for the coming 2010 WCT season.
Congratulations Nate from the whole Body Glove family, you killed it! Can’t wait to see you in Hawaii!

KitesurfschoolBEST.nl pimped it's ride

Karim Chioua now teaches kitesurfing from this hot new pimped-out van.

We agree with Anouk Chioua that this design is very kissable, specially because it's a concept out of our own Body Glove Design Department.

River Surfing the Lunch Counter Rapids

Pro ripper Alex Gray, VP of Marketing Scott Daley, Veteran River Surfer Elijah Mack and our BG Entertainment crew headed out to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to check out the Lunch Counter Rapids. Eli has been talking our ear off about river surfing so Body Glove figured it was time to check it out. Basically it's a standing wave that never ends, but when it kicks you out you'll travel a half-mile down the river and have to paddle out. The Lunch Counter Rapids are a favorite of white water rapid tourists (as you'll see in the pics) and a new favorite of our's. The guys had a great time, are a little sore, but got some great footage. Check out the video and let us know what you think of river surfing. Check out the video on bodyglove.com

Bob Meistrell's Birthday Dive

Friday, July 31
Bob went out on the Body Glove boat today for his (Co-Founder of Body Glove) birthday dive. He did a dive down to 162 feet for twice his age. Bob did great and actually went down to 172 feet before coming back up. Scott Smith who is a experienced dive instructor and dives all the time said that was the first time he went down that deep and it was really crazy. You really notice a difference between 130 and 160 feet. Things just start getting weird and you really have to concentrate to keep it together.

The computer from one of the divers. It shows 162 feet for 26 min at a temp of 56F. Crazy stuff.
